Styled after the famous Cuttyhunk Bass Boat and the Surf Hunter of the 1950s and 60s, the new Avid 24 Sea Skiff is designed with a shallow draft and full keel for serious inshore fishing and the trademark second stern steering station with tiller. It features a high, flared bow, molded spray rails, and a graceful sheerline that sweeps down to a tumblehome transom. The large 100-square-foot cockpit provides plenty of fishing room, and the helm and companion seats are engineered into the engine box, providing wide side walkways. Theres protected storage for eight rods up to 9', and a forward cabin provides storage and houses a portable head.

About The Boat
Avid Sea Skiff Overview
The hull features a full keel to protect the running gear, enabling the owner to safely cruise in rocky waters and shallow coves. The boat has over 8 full inches of walkway around the windshield for safe and easy access to the forward deck.
A traditional design, the Avid 24, sports a high flared bow, large molded spray rails and a graceful sheer line that sweeps down to a beautiful tumblehome stern. Conventional inboard power is delivered by a 225 Volvo diesel, which enables the skiff to cruise at 20-22 knots. Optional Volvo 260hp will cruise the skiff at 22-24 knots. Fuel capacity is 128 gallons.
The cockpit of the AVID measures over 100 square feet and contains an integrated stern bench seat. In addition to the 4 Lee rod holders in the gunwales, the AVID 24 has under-gunwale rod racks capable of carrying up to 8 spinning or fly rods up to 9 feet in length, with their tips fully protected from careless feet.
The helm station contains full instrumentation, EDSON steering wheel, Ritchie Compass, Blue Seas Switches and a Teleflex Electronic Single Lever Control. In a nod to the traditional New England Bass boats of yesterday, each AVID 24 comes with an optional teak stern tiller and rear mounted Teleflex electronic single lever control for ease of trolling or leisurely cruising. The practical yet functional forward cabin contains a portable head (optional marine head), bench seats with storage lockers for tackle, PFDs, jackets and gear, and serves as a place to get out of the weather when necessary.
