What started out as a simple hobby over two decades ago has evolved into a thriving and successful business for a Chattanooga native, Kayo Erwin. Kayo's interest in recreational boating began in 1974 with the purchase of his first houseboat docked on the Tennessee River at Chickamauga Marina in 1978. Within four short years Kayo opened his own dealership. Having "boating in his blood and not being able to shake it" he turned it into a full-time business and incorporated it in 1981. By 1992, Erwin Marine Sales acquired Chickamauga Marina - the marina where it all began!
