What's New At Good Old Boat

Reader Photos Reader photos

We can't help ourselves. Or is it our readers who can't help themselves? Whichever! They send us photos. We have to post them. So we started a new page for boat photos. Once every two months we'll choose our favorite photo and run it in the Mail Buoy of the current issue of Good Old Boat.

Audiobooks Riddle of the Sands at AudioSeaStories.com

The Riddle of the Sands by Erskine Childers. While sailing in the Baltic Sea, two men suddenly find themselves enmeshed in uncovering a secret German plot to invade England. The Riddle of the Sands is heralded as the first true spy novel, written by Childers in part as a warning to the British government to bolster their presence in the North Sea. This story features equally thrilling scenes of espionage and adventures at sea.

Includes a PDF map, CD jacket and track listing. Approximately 11.3 hours listening time. Read by Jeremy McGeary. In MP3 format, this and other fine books are available as downloads or shipped CDs from www.AudioSeaStories.com.

Good Old Boat Bookshelf

As our piles of printed back issues diminish, we keep adding years for your collection of back issue CDs. We've just added the years 2002 and 2003 for your reading and reference. After all, the articles we've been printing since 1998 are timely anytime for any sailor up to his armpits in rope, epoxy, sealant, and sawdust. Compared with six printed copies of our magazine, these small CDs are portable, stowable, and searchable. Furthermore, they fit well in a Christmas stocking.

Good Old Boat Galley Book

Galley Book

The Good Old Boat Galley Book CD hot off the PDF duplicator's press! The first release of a brand-new concept: a collection of Good Old Boat articles on CD in PDF format (easy to store and easy to use no matter what kind of computer you have). This article collection is about simplifying life in your boat's galley. It isn't so much about what sailors cook (although we do include some recipes); it's about how they manage to do it in a space the size of most shoreside bathrooms! It's about making do and doing without.
